Human Justice tells the compelling true story of a human rights lawyer's last trial in a 15-year career spent helping people living on the margins enforce civil rights and anti-discrimination laws.

Corporate values, which are only about money and nothing else, played out to their logical extreme in the case, signaling that corporatism is incompatible with a sustainable future for our species and planet.

The harmonic divide reverberating in our society is less about blue values versus red values and more about human values versus corporate values—and the corporate side is winning.

Through storytelling that reads like fiction, the author sheds light on a justice system dominated by corporations with an infinite appetite for natural resources and human souls, and calls for reorganizing society around empathy, sustainability, and love. As the author writes, human values must always trump corporate values.

A candid portrait of a justice system where corporate values reign supreme, Human Justice is a cathartic read for legal practitioners and a guide for readers interested in how justice really works.

Good Vibes: Seven Simple Steps to Inner Peace

Wisdom Inspired by a Stoic Philosopher-King

Humans can raise our vibrations to amplify perception, cognition, and awareness. We are the physical manifestation of God, which vibrates the frequency of love at the speed of infinity. Humans tuned in to God’s frequency feel bliss, complete fulfillment, and a sense of Oneness with Nature. Those who experience this elevated state of being sometimes call it inner peace.

Our species’ destiny is to raise our vibrations and metamorphose into heart-centered, multidimensional beings. Conscious, whole, and free. A sage compared our potential to a butterfly, the flowering of a caterpillar beyond its wildest dreams.

There are infinite paths to inner peace. Reading spiritual books is an important part of my ongoing journey. The first spiritual book I read, Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, spoke and continues to speak to me. Marcus was an ancient Roman emperor who ruled at the Empire’s apex for nearly two decades. He lived about 120 years after Jesus, and practiced a philosophy called Stoicism. It was common for Stoics to write down spiritual insights, and some considered it a dutyMarcus’ poetic observations about the cosmos and straightforward descriptions of how loving humans should live in it inspire me to be my best self. Good Vibes is an homage to Marcus, my spiritual exemplar.

Marcus' wisdom points to seven simple steps to raise vibrations and unlock inner peace:

STEP ONE - Be cheerful

STEP TWO - Be mindful

STEP THREE - Be present

STEP FOUR - Be heart-centered

STEP FIVE - Be truthful

STEP SIX - Be aware

STEP SEVEN - Be Magical

Practicing these steps would have helped me when I was in a dark place, experiencing big emotions, and my reality unraveled over several frightening days and nights. My deepest fears and insecurities played out in supernatural ways, and I saw, heard, and felt things that don’t exist in this physical realm.

Some call this sort of experience a psychotic break, and others call it a Dark Night of the Soul.

I gradually emerged from my Dark Night with my liberty and spirit intact. Somehow, my body felt stronger and my mind sharper. I felt immense gratitude to be alive, and an overwhelming impulse to learn more about spirituality and regulating emotions.

Good Vibes is my personal spirituality journal, a coalescence of things I’ve learned about the subject since my Dark Night. We’re all connected spiritually, so what helps me might help others. I lack authority on everything and don’t know anything. As Socrates defers, “All I know is that I know nothing.” Good Vibes takes about an hour to read and contains nothing new or revelatory. Instead, it’s a restatement of wisdom that sages have taught, in one form or another, for thousands of years.

If you’re a spirituality newcomer, these simple steps are always available as a salve if you’re in crisis and need to heal. If you’re a spirituality veteran, practicing them will deepen your degree of Presence and connection to Source, or God.

Consistent practice is preventive medicine against negativity, which always lowers vibrations and leads to physical manifestations such as sickness and calamity. Negativity is highly infectious, and we should do our best to manage it.

Mastery of the concepts these steps point to will unlock the inner peace that has been dormant inside us since birth, just waiting to blossom from our hearts in a burst of loving light.
